New Navigation Holaspirit by Talkspirit

Starting April 13, 2026, Holaspirit by Talkspirit is introducing an update to its main navigation.

This update adds a top bar, moves profile access to the top right, and reorganises several modules to deliver a simpler, more intuitive experience.

There’s no need to wait, you can enable the new navigation now via: Profile > Beta features > New navigation framework.

Before

Interface available until April 27 (or earlier, depending on your organisation’s settings).

After

Once the new navigation framework has been enabled by your organisation or rolled out by Talkspirit on April 27, 2026.

What’s changing

Previously, your profile, help, and account settings were accessible from the bottom-left corner of the sidebar. Some global actions, such as notifications, were also located in the sidebar.

With the new navigation, a top bar is now displayed across the entire application. Your profile is accessible via your avatar in the top right, alongside notifications and search. Your organisation’s logo is also visible next to your avatar.

The sidebar remains your central hub for navigating between modules, but global actions are now grouped in the top bar for a clearer experience.

Minor module changes

Governance becomes Structure.

The module is renamed and now groups Proposals and Working Agreements, formerly Publications, under the same entry.

Publications becomes Working Agreements. The module is renamed and moved under Structure.

Proposals no longer appears as an independent entry and is moved under Structure.

The secondary navigation displays your roles and circles with direct access.

Projects

The secondary navigation displays your tasks and boards with direct access.

Goals

OKRs become Goals.

This module does not yet have secondary navigation (this will be available soon with direct access to your goals).

Meetings

The secondary navigation displays direct access to your meetings and your meeting reports.

Inbox becomes Notes. This navigation bar entry is moved into the Meetings module. It no longer appears as an independent item in the sidebar.

This change is temporary, and a future update will distinguish, on the one hand, the “Agenda items” you wish to bring to an upcoming meeting and, on the other hand, Tensions (for organisations with the Holacracy add-on), which will be accessible across the app from the top bar.

Why this evolution

A more familiar interface

Placing the profile in the top right aligns with a widely adopted standard in modern professional applications. This makes Holaspirit immediately more intuitive for new users.

A better separation of use cases

The sidebar is dedicated to navigating your spaces and content, such as circles, roles, projects, or meetings. The top bar groups cross-functional elements: search, notifications, profile, and settings. This separation makes the interface more readable and easier to use.

A simpler sidebar

By grouping related modules, Structure now includes governance, proposals, and agreements, making the sidebar shorter and easier to scan. Renaming OKRs to Goals and Publications to Agreements also makes their purpose clearer at first glance.

Clearer profile access

Your avatar in the top right provides a single entry point to view your profile, access your account settings, manage your organisation’s subscription and billing, access help and support, and log out.

A solid foundation for the future

This change enables more consistent navigation across the entire Talkspirit suite and provides a solid foundation for upcoming features and improvements.

Where to find your usual actions

Profile and account: click your avatar in the top right.
Search: in the top bar, at the center.
Notifications: in the top bar, next to your avatar.
Governance: now called Structure in the sidebar.
Publications: now called Agreements, under Structure.
Proposals: under Structure.
OKRs: now called Goals in the sidebar.
Inbox: now called Notes, under Meetings.
Help and support: via the avatar menu in the top right.
Administration: via the avatar menu in the top right.

What does not change

Your content, circles, roles, projects, goals, meetings, members, permissions, and data remain strictly identical. Only the navigation layout and the names of certain modules are changing. Your workflows within each module are not impacted.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to reconfigure anything?

No. The update is applied automatically. All your data, permissions, and settings are preserved.

Where can I find my preferences and account settings?

Click your avatar in the top right, then select My account.

Is the sidebar disappearing?

No. The sidebar remains your central navigation tool for accessing modules. Only the profile, notifications, and search have been moved to the top bar.

What happened to Publications?

Publications is now called Agreements and is available under the Structure module.

What happened to the Inbox?

The Inbox is now called Notes and is available in the Meetings module.

Will my administration rights change?

No. Administration rights and access remain identical. You can still access Administration from your avatar menu.

When does this update take effect?

This update will be applied automatically on April 27, 2026. As soon as you refresh Holaspirit after that date, you will see the new navigation.
