There might be some cases where you need to add a member to a circle in which they do not hold a role in order for them to:

  • Attend the circle meetings.

  • Be able to submit proposals and/or add evolution to the circle.

  • Work on the circle's projects.

How to add a member without a role?

Prerequisite: All members of a circle can add and remove other members in a circle on the condition there is no role in charge of the assignment. In this case, only the assigning role can add a member to the circle.

👉 By default, the added member becomes a core-circle member of the circle.

Option 1

  • Go to the circle page to which you want to add a member

  • Click on the 3 dots at the top right corner of your screen

  • Click on Add member

  • Search the member you want to add and click on Add.

Option 2

  • Go to the circle page you want to add a member to

  • On the Overview tab of the circle, go to the Members without role section

  • Click on Add member

  • Select the member and click on Add

Option 3

  • Go to to the circle you want to add a member to

  • Go to the Members tab

  • Click on Add a member

  • Select the member from the list or type their name

  • Click on Add


How to remove a circle member without a role?

Option 1

  • Go to the circle you want to remove a member to

  • In the Overview tab, go to the Members without role section

  • Click on the 3 dots to the right of the member you want to remove

  • Click on Remove

  • Go to the circle you want to remove a member to

  • Go to the Members tab

  • Click on the 3 dots to the right of the member you want to remove

  • Click on Remove
