Holaspirit allows viewing your organization through a variety of chart types to help display your roles and circles in different formats.

Your organization's chart shows the relationships between roles and circles as a diagram, making it easier for members to understand how your organization is structured.

How to enable or disable charts?

👤 Admins can enable or disable the different chart view in Administration.

To configure the chart settings for your organization:

  • Click on your profile icon and select Administration

  • Go to Chart Settings

  • Under Organization chart click on the charts you want to enable for your organization so all users can decide to use this view individually on their platform

  • Click Save

After you define which charts are available for your organization, users will be able to choose the appropriate chart in their sorting options.

The different type of Charts

Holarchy

Most commonly used by organizations that work with Holacracy, it's a great alternative to the traditional pyramid-shaped management hierarchy. It looks like a series of nested circles that are autonomous but also part of a system. Each circle (team) is made of a set of roles, grouped together around a specific function — whether it be a specific project team, a department, a support function, or a business line. It depicts a hierarchy of teams, not people.

Network of teams

Another visual representation would be to show the main circle (General circle) in the center with hubs of teams surrounding it. All circles are described on the same level as a flat network of teams which you can zoom in or zoom out on.

Role relations

👉 To enable this type of chart, you need to define the relationships between the roles in your organization. Check out this article!

This org chart helps visualize internal relationships between roles when a role is mentioned in another role or circle. It maps the communication and collaboration between the different entities and may be used to demonstrate company workflows.
