On Holaspirit, you can:

  • Choose a role in charge of assigning roles to members in the organization

  • Define one or several roles elected by consent

  • Allow members to freely assign themselves to roles

Platform administrators can define the organization's circle settings in Administration.

Circle administrators can customize the circle's settings if they want the circle to operate differently from the settings defined for the organization in Administration.

Define assignation settings for your organization

Prerequisite: Core roles are defined in the organization's Circle settings.

To define the rules for assigning members to roles:

  • Go to Administration, then Circle settings

  • In the Assignation section:

    • If a role is in charge of assignation within your organization, select it by clicking on the drop-down list

    • If you want all members of the organization to be able to join roles freely, click on All Circle Members in the drop down list.

To define the rules for electing members to roles:

  • In the Elected roles section, select the core roles that will need to be elected within your organization. The member will be elected for a term defined during the election process.

  • Click Save

Notes:

  • Only the core roles defined in the organization's circle settings in Administration are displayed in the drop-down list. If no role is selected, then all members of the organization can assign and join roles.

  • These settings apply to all circles in your organization, except circles that have defined their own settings. If a circle has custom settings defined, changes made to the organization's Circle settings in Administration will not apply to that circle.

Define assignation settings for your circle

Holaspirit makes it possible to define the role in charge of assignation and the roles elected at circle-level. This feature allows teams that work in different ways to coexist within the same organization.

A circle can define their own:

  • Assignation rules

  • Elected roles among the roles part of the circle

Prerequisite: to define your circle settings you need to have administrator rights, be a circle admin or a Circle Lead.

  • Go to the circle page

  • Click on the 3 dots at the top right, then select Settings

  • In the General tab, navigate to the Assignation and Elected roles sections

Note: The drop-down lists only display the roles of the circle.

  • In the Assignation section:

    • If there is a role in charge of assignation in the circle, select it from the drop-down list.

    • If no role is in charge of assignation, then all circle members can join the roles of your organization.

  • In the Elected roles section, select one or several roles that will be elected by circle members through the election process if it applies. If no roles need to be elected, leave it blank.

  • Click Save to confirm the changes made

Important: When circle settings are changed at circle-level, the circle is no longer synchronized with the organization's circle settings defined in Administration.

Consequently, the synchronization with the organization's circle settings will be lost, such as:

  • Assignation settings (assigning role and elected roles)

  • Governance settings (consent mode or open mode)

  • Role models
